Massive heaters, such
as the Vuurmeesters adobe-heater and the Tulikivi soapstone-heater,
are closed after making a daily fire. This is done using a damper.
This way the air movement from the heater to the chimney is
restricted. Closing the damper ensures that very little warmth is
lost through the chimney. |
